The Super Nintendo is an 16-bit games console that was first released in Japan in 1990, and is the successor to the NES, It competed with Sega'a Genesis and was Nintendos first entry into the 16 bit market. Featuring a Ricoh 5A22 Processor clocked @ 3.58MHz and 128kb RAM, it is the most popular console ever released, it enjoyed an impressive lifespan of almost 8 years (13 in some countrys). The SNES is well known for its wide range of over 2000 games including "Super Mario World", "Super Metroid", "Star Fox Command" and "Zelda A Link to the past". knowadays there are a wide range of emulators available for the console accross Windows, MAC nad Linux.

OK, The truth is, bsnes is actually the best snes emulator out there, and if your wondering the reason it didnt get full marks is for 2 reasons, first of the spec requirement is incredible, this emu requires atleast a Dual Core CPU @ 3.0GHz, second it is really difficult to use, especially for newbies, as it requires you to clean every game before you play it plus it has an extremley awkward way of loading roms which can confuse newbies. My reccomendation to the bsnes team is make your interface easier to understand for newbies, however if you think your clever enough then this is the emu for you.
